Awesome You Tube dog filled day for my mom!

Mom had a fun party today - for all of the new puppies. I'm not invited because it's for the youngsters only, but that's okay cuz dad and I got to go have our own fun! We stopped by afterwards because moms "dream team" came for a visit too, and they wanted to see me - and I wanted to see them.

Miss. Lorrie, Miss. Michelle, and Miss. Amber were all there - they're all really nice and pretty and smart - I love hearing their giggly voices - really tells me they like me. I've met them before when they came down for meetings with mom... There were some other folks with them - Mr. Wil (Lorrie's hubby), and Miss. Anne - she's another dream team person thats gonna help mom - and Miss. Jill (Amber's friend who is another computer type wizard)... We all had a fun time visiting. I got to pose with the group for some photo's - check 'em out. From left to right: N8, Michelle, Lorrie, me and mom, and Anne - Miss. Amber had to leave, but I'll bet she can do something with her talents and photoshop.

Nathan (N8) is Michelle's son - he is really cool. And oh boy is he talented. He is an awesome videographer - and is working towards becoming a big time director! He was cool enough to take video of mom and the puppies for her website - and ya know what? He edited some of it already, and posted it on You Tube! How cool is that??? Check it out - My mom on You Tube
I'm so proud of her - maybe someday she'll have me on there with her.

Later on dad took me for some more fun at the field for some running around... Then mom fixed me a nice salad with my dinner. Yes, I really eat my vegies.
 See?

During movie time I got to sit in dad's lap while I ate my Bully stick.

Geez I love those! Keeps me happy, busy, and that endorphin rush I get from the chewing is really pleasant...helps me rest comfortably - can't you tell?

By being in dad's lap (or moms too) while I chew my high value stuff has really taught me I don't have to guard my things - I really trust that humans don't want what I have... at least mom and dad...Hmm, who would have thought that? I'll still watch out for others, after all, I am a dog right? But I will certainly communicate with them with my body language if I'm not happy - they just have to pay attention and "listen", right? I'm glad this inquisitive canine has learned.

Now this was a fun road trip!

Wow, mom and dad really came through! They made up for yesterday by taking me out for lots of playtime... First thing out of bed dad whisked me off to the field for a nice long romp and ball chase. Then we went on a few errands together. After getting home mom made me breakfast (in my Tricky Treat Ball - which is always a fun time) - then we all went out together. This time we headed south - I was such a good boy in the car. Mom was great at paying attention too, because she let me know...I love hearing her say I'm a "good boy" (sometimes she throws in a treat too). While mom was inside some store, dad took me for a little walk in a nice grassy area - lots of nice smells for me to stick my nose in. Then we headed back home...But the real fun was when when mom asked if dad wanted to stop for a hotdog! OH BOY! That means I get some too - cuz dad always shares with me!!! And I was right, the picture proves it!. I think I heard them say again how they wanted to make up for the dull road trip they took me on yesterday...it was more about them yesterday, but it seems to be all about me today. Which in my book, is great for this inquisitive canine. (*Note: I am wearing my comfy harness/seatbelt, it's just difficult to see in the photo's)

Road trip bad...Making up for it good!

That road trip stunk! And not in a good way...So yesterday, we were all packed and ready for a trip - mom had all of my things she usually takes when we go somewhere for longer than a day... Extra food, my Tricky Treat Ball, Bully stick, toys, those silly plastic bags she like to carry my poopy in (humans are weird that way). And of course the usual suspects: my crate, leash, harness, license, and lots of water. Plus she and dad had some pretty clothes so I guess they were going somewhere fancy. If you know me by now, you know I like road trips...so I was pretty excited - especially since we were heading north! My favorite!

Well, without ranting too much - we ended up coming home last night...yep, just one long day where I barely got out of the car to play...sure my car seat was comfy, and I got to potty, and they fed me, and gave me water...all of the necessities - just like Muttlow's Hierarchy - but this road traveling pooch ended up playing lookout all day and night! Ggrrrrrr... and booorrrrrrring!

I hope they had a good time...because for me it wasn't all that great...I guess it was better than being stuck at home. Plus, I heard them saying they were going to make it up to me by taking me out a lot today...And so far I think they're following through. Mom and I spooned this morning in bed - and now I see dad getting the car keys along with my leash and treat bag! Alright! We're going out!!! Woo-hoo...This inquisitive canine is outta here. Hope you all have a great Sunday too...

Those animals learned...

Well, mom and dad were finally paying attention... Dad was eating pizza, mom was spending time blogging on her site, dad got up from the table to get something (leaving that delicious pizza for me to investigate)...but gosh darn-it they finally learned... As soon as they heard me hop up onto the bench where dad was sitting, they both pounced on me...just like I did to the pastrami sandwich yesterday... Oh well, I knew they'd learn eventually...I won't give up though, not this inquisitive canine

I'm daddy's valentine

Wow, what a great day it's been so far! And it's only the afternoon! It started out with me sleeping in all nice and cozy with mom (she's still not feeling well, poor thing), so again I got to play pet therapist... After I got up dad took me for a great outing at the field to play... Then, and this is where is gets really good, dad was really hungry when we got home so he made himself a really yummy sandwich - which he was kind enough to share with me! Maybe because it's that human holiday "Valentines Day" - where you show how much you love and appreciate your family, friends, and loved ones...Well, I guess he wanted to show me how much he loves me by giving me all of his pastrami! Talk about hitting the jackpot!!! Ok, well maybe he didn't actually intend to give it to me...he had walked back into the house to get something, leaving it there in front of me... all juicy, smelling really great --- I mean, what's a dog to do? Come on! Needless to say mom wasn't too thrilled - she said something to him, gave him a look that usually doesn't predict anything good for anyone, then they both said something like I wasn't getting dinner because I had eaten enough for the whole week (why do I have to be punished because they're not paying attention!?)...They decided it was the perfect Valentines Day present for me... Hoooo boy are they right! I'd much rather have pastrami than a toy or new collar! Thanks dad! I'll watch your sandwich any day! Happy Valentines Day to you...mom too.

Wahoo! Mom passed the test!

Well it's official! Mom is now a Certified Canine Good Citizen evaluator! Thank you American Kennel Club! She studied up like a good student, then took the exam...and passed! She received her evaluators certificate, and will display it proudly at The Inquisitive Canine Education and Training Center in Ventura for everyone to see. Folks love pet therapy, I should know, I am one myself... and many dog owners like to provide pet therapy with their dogs... She said she is excited about evaluating your dog, and getting you both on the road for providing the comfort many people enjoy receiving...plus it's a great job for poochies like me... we love the work! GO MOM!

I'm a "therapist"...Pet Therapist that is...

Poor mom. She's not feeling too great. She walked in all hunched over with some weird look on her face...not the usual smily face after teaching her puppy classes. And the color of her skin is kinda weird looking...I think I heard her mutter "pale". She turned on the heat - full blast - which she rarely does since she is the one that loves the cold foggy weather. I heard her call dad to ask him to bring something called 'ginger ale' home... Hmm, let's see: looking sad, pale, hunched over, asking dad to get her things to drink she never usually drinks, turning the heat on...and not doing her regular chores...must mean only one thing: mama's not feeling too great...which means it's time for this superhero pet therapist to jump on in and help. Think I'll spend the rest of the night lying next to her, being still, keeping her warm, and watching out for any signs of danger. Good thing I'm a Canine Good Citizen...since this is just what the doctor ordered.

Next time....law school...or accounting?

Mom has been SO busy with business stuff - taxes, courts, trademark office, the city government...goes on and on... I heard her muttering something about if she ever went back to school again she should be a lawyer or accountant - seems that all business folks are in constant need of one or the other. Well, hopefully this is just a passing thought because us poochies like what she is doing for us. I'll give a big shout out bark to our good friends that have helped mom through all of this craziness: Steve Debbas - one of those great lawyers you don't make jokes about (darn good tennis player too), Sandra Sunken (really cool accountant - always watching out for us), and of course Ms. Alison Garrick - she's not only a great bookkeeper, but she also takes time to play with me when she comes to the office... Thanks everyone! I probably won't need to hire either of you myself, but it's nice to know you're there for mom...
